7TH RACING WEEKEND OF SEASON 2020: IMOLA, ITALY

Patrik Pasma is back on the road to victories!

22.11.2020 – Flying Finns had a superb italian racing weekend at Imola – Patrik Pasma collect two victories and stept into the battle of series bronze medal

Penultimate round of Formula Regional was driven in 4th weekend of November at italian circuit of Imola. The weekend was concluded into two victories driven by KIC Motorsport driver Patrik Pasma as in Saturday he was sixth fastest but on Sunday he won both races by 6,201 and 0,605 seconds gap. In both of Sundays’ races he was able to beat series top Prema Powerteam drivers, brazilian Gianluca Petecof, monacon Arthur Leclerc and danish Oliver Rasmussen.

More success for KIC Motorsport was delivered by another Flying Finn Konsta Lappalainen, who secured 5th, 7th and 8th highest Championship points and also italian debutant driver Nicola Marinangeli, who collect positions 9th, 10th and 11th. As Pasma snatched excellent amounts of Championship points, he entered into bronze medal battle for the Final round. Also in final round, which is to be driven in circuit of Vallelunga, KIC Motorsport will defend its’ silver position in Team Championship series.

– In previous iberian round, which was driven in circuit of Barcelona Catalunya, our fellow Van Amersfoort Racing drivers challenged us so that we had no other choise than put all knowledge on the table and see how it goes. We asked our drivers to collect maximum amount of points which they did as Pasma collect two victories. With same kind of attitude we’ll go for the final round which is to be driven in circuit of Vallelunga at first weekend of December, team manager Peter Flythström tells.

– In each of the season 2020 rounds we’ve seen a nerve-breaking competition for podium positions. This Imolan weekend was not any different at all. Still all our drivers made the results we have been expecting them to do – points, points, points and points to secure our silver position in teams’ Championship series. Once again Pasma showed that he has the speed to beat his rivals and therefore in final round we compete for his bronze and teams silver medals. Furthemore we’re very happy as Konsta Lappalainen brought good points and our debutant driver Nicola Marinangeli took big developement steps during the intense weekend, team owner Petri Lappalainen continues.

Formula Regional season 2020 gets a thrilling final as Prema Powerteam drivers will have a ultimate competition for the series victory.
