21.5.2023 – KIC Motorsport drivers faced difficulties in circuit of Barcelona – Only Maya Weug arrived to chequerred flag
In third weekend of May the second round of international Formula Regional by Alpine European Championship series was driven in traditional iberian circuit of Barcelona. In qualifyings KIC Motorsport drivers weren’t able to secure top-20 positions and therefore in two 30 minute events they had no chance to step up for points positions.
Ukrainan Oleksandr Partyshev suffered technical difficulties and had to retire both events. Instead Maya Weug was able to drive trouble-free events and finished the Saturday’s event in 20th and Sundays in 24th position.
Both races were coloured by safety cars. German Tim Tramnitz collect two wins which put him into a new leader of the series as there are still eight weekends and total of 16 rounds to be driven. KIC Motorsport drivers have no points after four events. Next round is to be driven in the middle of June at hungarian circuit of Hungaroring.
