10.7.2023 – KIC Motorsport driver Maya Weug collect two points from Mugello – Flying Finn Konsta Lappalainen warmed-up for the next round of GT World Challenge Sprint Series which is to be driven in next week at italian circuit of Misano

Fifth meeting of Formula Regional by Alpine European Championship series was held in traditional italian circuit of Mugello. In 9th race of the season KIC Motorsport driver Maya Weug continued her excellent performance as she was able to collect two points from first 30 minute event. In 10th race of the season, which was driven in following day, she was forced to retire due technical issues.

Second driver for KIC Motorsport was Flying Finn Konsta Lappalainen, who is reigning bronze medalist of GT World Challenge Endurance and ADAC GT Masters racing series. In current season he’s competing in GT World Challenge Sprint series and faces next round of the series in following weekend at another traditional italian circuit of Misano. Konsta collect positions 23th and 20th from FRECA at Mugello.

In two intense 30 minute races norwegian rookie driver Martinius Stenshorne and his best rival, italian Andrea Kimi Antonelli celebrated podium positions in both events. Therefore this duo has ran off over 30 points lead from german Tim Tim Tramnitz, who is currently in bronze position in overall standings of the series. Stenshorne leads the series, but only just with two points as there is now first half of the series driven.

KIC Motorsport driver Maya Weug is steadly in silver position in rookies Championship standings. Next two rounds is to be driven in traditional french circuit of Paul Ricard, which is to be driven in third weekend of July.
